Terms of Service

1. The service

PartyPax lets you create animated digital invitations, add your own details and photos, pay once, and share the result on WhatsApp. No account is required to create an invite.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to make a purchase.

3. Pricing and payment

• Still Invite — R99: a beautiful still invitation with your photo and event details, ready to share on WhatsApp.
• Video Invite — R129: everything in the Still Invite, animated with an original soundtrack, plus a free cover image.
• Smart Invite — R149: everything in the Video Invite, plus live WhatsApp RSVP tracking, a guest dashboard and reminders.

Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is a once-off charge processed securely by PayFast. Your invite is produced once payment is confirmed.

4. Personalised digital products

Each invitation is a personalised digital product, generated on demand from the details you provide and delivered electronically. Please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how refunds work.

5. Your content and responsibilities

• You confirm you have the right to use any photos, names and other content you upload.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the event details you enter.
• You may not use PartyPax for unlawful, offensive, misleading or infringing content.

6. Licence to operate the service

You grant us a limited licence to process, store and display the content you provide solely to create and deliver your invitation and to operate the service. You keep ownership of your own content.

7. Our intellectual property

The PartyPax name, website, template designs, animations and software remain our property or that of our licensors. Buying an invite gives you the right to use your finished invitation for your event — it does not transfer ownership of the underlying templates or designs.

8. Third-party services

We rely on third parties including PayFast (payments), Google Firebase (hosting and storage) and WhatsApp/Meta (delivery). Your use of those features is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

9. Availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the invitation concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
